The keychain contains a series of symbols and pictures that represent different communication messages that would all be considered 'critical' to be able to communicate. For example, answering 'yes' and 'no', requesting for the toilet, indicating the need for food or drink.
Children with communication disorders can use this keychain to practice and develop their critical communication skills in real-life situations. For example, if a child is feeling overwhelmed in class but is unable to verbally ask for a break, they can show their teacher the 'i need a break' card to appropriately request a break.
